Our Roots

We are a small owner-operated family and veteran owned business in the Hocking Hills region of southeastern Ohio. Creekside Cottages gets its name from the rippling Raccoon Creek that flows throughout the property.

Creekside Cottages is the vision of Tom and Connie Williamson. Both US Army veterans, Tom is a southern Ohio native, father of 4 and retired Airborne Army Ranger. Connie is a Green Bay, WI native and former school teacher.

Travel is an immense part of Tom and Connie’s life and has been since both of their military experiences. Their love for exploration has inspired their vision for Creekside Cottages; to be a space for travelers to unwind, explore, and unplug from their daily stresses.

In their spare time Tom and Connie love hosting gatherings for family and friends. These signature events always involve great food and wine. Tom is a beloved storyteller and is known for his gregarious personality. He loves to share stories from his 20 years in the US Army as well as Appalachian folklore passed on from his family (some based on real life experiences and others, its up for discussion). Being a former school teacher Connie loves educating friends, family, and travelers about their 120 acre property. She is known for getting her hands dirty and can usually be found outside working on projects, beautifying her property, and of course she doesn’t miss a Green Bay Packers game!

We hope that you’ll visit us and enjoy native Ohio wildflowers, small ponds, towering pine tree groves, and natural deposits of sandstone, slate, and coal at Creekside Cottages at Hocking Hills.
